Consignor Questions Who can consign items? Absolutely ANYONE can consign who has excellent condition infant/children related items. Please see our Items Accepted page. Consign Now Why Consign? Registering to become a Simply Kids Consignor you will receive 60% of your total sales! If you volunteer to work a 3 hour work shift you will earn an additional 10% to your total sales. That is a total of 70%! You will also clean out your child(ren)’s closet and receive money for doing it. You can also de-clutter your play areas or kids rooms of toys that are no longer played with to make room for new ones. It is a Win/Win situation. How do I become a Consignor? Simply click Register Now to become a consignor with Simply Kids or call Simply Kids at 610-906-1588 and register directly over the phone. “If I was registered to consign for a prior sale, do I have to register again?” Yes, you must register for every sale you want to consign in. You will keep the same consignor number for each sale you participate in. If you have consigned in the past, then all you need to do is click on the consignor homepage link and login with your consignor number and password and simply click register for our upcoming sale. If you cannot remember your password, click on the "Forgot My Password" option under the login boxes. If you cannot remember your consignor number, call Simply Kids at 610-906-1588. How can I shop before the public? Each consignor is able to shop at our Consignor’s only preview party with 2 guests. (Passes will be needed to enter this sale). How can I attend the Consignor's Preview Party? If you have registered to consign with Simply Kids, you will be given 3 Preview Party Passes that enables you to shop before the public. Your passes will be given to you at drop off registration. You MUST have a pass to enter the Consignor Preview Party. Who can I bring to the Preview Parties? You may bring up to 2 guests to the Consignor Preview Party. Only adults need a pass to enter. If you are bringing children with you note that children under 12 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times! How much does it cost to consign? There is a registration fee of $12 per sale. Will you take all my items for sale? Yes, as long as they meet all criteria listed in Items Accepted. We will be screening items closely to maintain a top quality sale. Some items will be returned if they do not meet the criteria mentioned in the Items Accepted section. We want shoppers to remember that Simply Kids offers the best quality merchandise. Many of you, our consignors, are also our biggest shoppers and we want you to have confidence that you are purchasing the best for your money at the Simply Kids Sale. Do I have to tag my
items online? How do I price my items? PRICE YOUR ITEMS TO SELL! A good figure to use is between 25-30% of the retail price. This will depend on the brand name of the item as many people search for name brands such as Gymboree, Gap, Old Navy, Hartstrings etc. Clothing bought from Walmart, Kmart and Target, etc. usually sell for less. Ask yourself while pricing, “What would I pay for this item?” Larger items are usually priced between 25 to 50 percent of the retail price. Be sure to price your items competitively as it is common to have duplicate items on the sales floor. How do I make my tags? See our Tagging Info page for details on how to prepare your tags. Can I participate in the sale if my tags do not have barcodes? No. All tags MUST have barcodes using the Simply Kids Online Bar-coding Inventory Software. Do you have any helpful bar-coding tips for me? Yes! Please see Tagging--- Entering Info Online Remember- Do not cover barcodes with tape. The scanner will be unable to read the tag at checkout. Can I use my left-over barcodes from this sale for the next sale? No. Your barcodes are unique for each sale. Will I receive my tags back after the sale? No. You will receive an itemized Seller Report showing which items sold and if they were sold for half-price. This will be mailed to you with your proceeds check 1-2 weeks after the sale. When do I drop off my items for sale? Please refer to the Simply Kids Sale schedule found on the Upcoming Sale page for drop-off times. You will need at least 30 minutes for registration. Your items and tags will be checked and you will place your items in their designated sections. For more information see Drop-off Procedures. What happens to my unsold items? Consignors will have the option of picking up or donating their unsold items. To donate an item you must follow the instructions on Tagging--- Entering Info Online select donate. Your items marked with a “D” will then go to a local charity. Any items you do not pick-up will be donated as well. (see Seller Agreement) Pick up of unsold items will be on Saturday between 3-5pm sharp! Please refer to the sale schedule found on the Upcoming Sale page.
